Introducing Biltix: the AI-first operating system for trade contractors
Biltix launches with the MEP trades: four modules, Estimating, Project Management, Billing and Finance, and Field Operations, in one AI-first workspace a trade contractor configures to how their shop runs.
By Biltix Team
Trade contractors build most of every commercial job, yet the software they work in was built for someone else's business: the GC's. The sub has always been a guest in it, so the sub filled the gaps with spreadsheets, shared drives and long email threads.
Today we're launching Biltix, the AI-first operating system built for trade contractors, from the bid to the final pay app. Its AI, BRIX, reads every drawing and spec on the job, runs takeoff and drafts the proposal, so the people who know the work can focus on the decisions that win and build the job. We're starting with the mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades, and every specialty trade is next.
Four modules, one record of the job
Estimating: bid more work with the same team. Qualify invitations, run takeoff, price with your own price book and labor units, collect supplier quotes and send the proposal from one place. A won bid becomes a live project without retyping it.
Project Management: nothing falls through the cracks. RFIs, submittals and change orders are tracked to an answer in one place, across every GC. They go out from your team's own email, so the GC never needs a login.
Billing and Finance: get paid for the work you did. AIA G702/G703 pay apps build from recorded progress, with retention tracked by job and by GC. Approved change orders, supplier invoices and lien waivers sit on the same schedule of values, and sync to QuickBooks Online.
Field Operations: the office sees what the field sees, the same day. The Biltix Field app, coming soon to iOS and Android, covers the time clock, daily reports, material requests with photos, drawings and punch items.
BRIX: AI that reads the job
BRIX reads every drawing and spec the moment they are uploaded. It runs MEP takeoff, counting equipment and devices and measuring duct and pipe runs, with every count and run marked on the drawing. It also pulls out the requirements that drive the price and shows exactly where in the specs or drawings each one comes from, and drafts the proposal. Anyone on the job can ask it a question and get an answer with the source cited. Next, BRIX will take on the paperwork that keeps a job moving: drafting RFIs, submittals and change orders from the job's own documents, and following each one through to an answer.
Configured to your shop, not the other way around
Start with the module that hurts most and add the rest as you grow. Every module shares the same job record, so nothing is typed twice. Your company sets its own review and approval steps for RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders and pay apps in a visual workflow designer. Granular roles decide who sees what: the estimator the bid, the foreman the field, the owner the money.
"Subs have always had to borrow the GC's software. Biltix is a platform of their own, with AI working next to the team so they can get back to running the job."
Razi A., founder of Biltix
