Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Biltix, Inc. (“Biltix,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you provide. Account details (name, email, company, role), project and job content you upload (drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, financial figures), and any messages you send us.
  • Information collected automatically. Log data (IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, timestamps), usage events, and cookie identifiers necessary to operate the Services and keep you signed in.
  • Information from third parties. If you connect a GC platform, accounting tool, email provider, or AI tool to Biltix, we receive data from those integrations on your behalf, scoped to the permissions you grant.

2. How we use information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Run AI features (takeoff, drafting, summarization, search) over your project data.
  • Authenticate users, enforce permissions, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Send service announcements, security notices, and — with your consent — product updates.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. AI processing of your data

Biltix uses third-party AI providers to power features like AI takeoff, drafted RFI responses, semantic search, and cited answers. When you use these features, the relevant portions of your project content are sent to those providers solely to return a result to you.

We contract with our AI providers so that your content is not used to train their public models. Where available, we use enterprise/zero-retention endpoints. We do not sell your data and we do not train any Biltix model on identifiable customer content without your explicit, separate consent.

4. Sharing and sub-processors

We share information only with sub-processors that help us operate the Services, and only as needed:

  • Cloud infrastructure and database providers (e.g., hosting, Supabase/Postgres).
  • AI model providers (e.g., Anthropic, Google, OpenAI) for the features described above.
  • Email and customer-support tooling.
  • Analytics and error-monitoring providers, where enabled.
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality.

We may also disclose information to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction (merger, financing, acquisition). We do not sell personal information.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to authenticate you and remember your preferences. If we add product analytics in the future, we’ll update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent.

6. Data retention

We retain account and project data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing hello@biltix.ai. Some data may be retained for limited periods after deletion to satisfy legal, accounting, or security obligations.

7. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging, and least-privilege provisioning. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EEA, United Kingdom, and California), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email hello@biltix.ai. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

9. International transfers

We may process data in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
